I am so sorry......I had a hard time conceiving and didn't know why at the time (had PCOS and didn't know it) I was put on prometrium and for a year we tried and I was depressed and didn't understand why I cound't get pregnant.....anyways what I am trying to get out is that when I stopped worrying about it and just relaxed I got pregnant a little over a year of trying. You need to relax and just start enjoying time with your husband and sex with him and it will happen.... the worry about not getting pregnant takes a toll on your body. Good luck!!!! If you aren't ovulating, either the dose isn't high enough, or they need to move on to another medication. It should work every month if it's going to. I ovulated almost every month I took it, the only times it didn't were when they were working up to the correct dose. Although it did work (i ovulated), it also caused other problems. My cervical mucous became hostile as a result of the meds and killed off all the swimmers so I ended up needing an IUI to get past that.
I did get pregnant taking metformin and clomid, it was when we decided to take the next step to the IUI and we also added a trigger shot to make sure I ovulated on time.

My doctor changed my meds after two months of not ovulating on Clomid. you should definitely talk to your doctor.

Hey, how many rounds of Clomid have you done at this point? My doc always told me that your body can build a resistance after 6 consecutive cycles...does your doctor feel differently? Have you asked your doc to give you the release shot? I'm not sure if that's the official name but when I use clomid my doc does a vaginal u/s at cd13 if he sees eggs he measures them and based on the expected date of them hitting maturity he will give me a trigger shot to force ovulation. Just a suggestion that you can maybe ask your doc about. Good luck!

I had fertility issues 7 years ago. I have PCOS and was having a hard time getting pregnant. I am not patient at all, so I did clomid for about 6 months, then went to a specialist. They put me on injections, I injected myself once time a day, I had ultrasound to see size of eggs, I took the ovulation shot, and went in for IUI the next day. I got pregnant with twins!! I have a boy and girl who are now 6. We were lucky because my husbands insurance covered the medication besides a $10 copay, and were blessed with 2 babies (as I joke for the "price of one") Hang in there. Clomid doesnt work for everyone, so maybe discuss some other alternatives if possible. I also had the procedures done where they fill your uterus with dye to be sure it is healthy, and then fill your uterus and fallopian tubes (PAINFUL!!!!) but its called "cleaning out the cobwebs" and usually once women have this procedure done, pregnancy happens quicker? Doesnt hurt to ask? Good luck.....

I worked with a woman who has PCOS and was having a hard time conceiving. She is Catholic so she couldn't use anything in terms of fertility treatment. Guess what? After patience and lots of prayers she got pregnant! Not just once, but 3 times, in as many years!!! Have faith.
