I started 2 days after my last pill. I was only on it for 7 days, not 10. But once before when I took it 2 years ago I didn't start my period until 2 weeks after the last pill. My dr. told me that the reason was because I probably ovulated on my own and if you do, then the meds won't work and instead will let your natural period come following ovulation.

Could you tell me, does provera make you ovulate or does it just make you shed your uterine lining?

Since about day 3 I've been having thick gooey discharge.

Also today I am spotting a little bit.

i am also on Provera and have been on it for a year now. I love it! I have the same perscription as you do, it took me a few days at first after the last pill to start a period.
Now that i have been on it for a while i start my period about 4 or 5 days into taking my pills and then i dont even finish them.
Provera is estrogen and progesterone hormones that make you ovulate so that the lining thickens and so forth so we can have periods.
I have always had discharge but nothing like that, if it continues i would ask your doctor about it.

OK I have a question!!!!

I officially started my period 6/13.... and it still hasn't stopped!!!

Is this normal for Provera to cause a 10 day period? The first 5 days were miserably heavy, I bled through my work uniform three times. Embarrassing cause we wear stupid white/khaki pants.

But after that it's been very light, but still isn't finished.

my gyno told me it's normal to have a heavy and intense period when you first go on provera because you haven't had a period in a while. if it continues even longer, I'd talk to your doctor about it.
