Ok so I was never officially diagnosed with PCOS But I found out all the symptoms and only maybe one of them wasnt me, so I kind of assumed. But I dont have regular periods, usually maybe only once every 6 months. Im sexually active, like every night, a couple times. But we dont use birth control because we want a baby but I dont know when would be a good time to waste money on a pregnancy test. Usually women do when they miss their period but I dont have mine so when should I? I think I am now, I can feel it, but we tried a test before that I think I fucked up on or it was just too early to tell. Either way I still feel it, I still feel like I am, what do you think>?

A simple blood test in your doctors office can confirm pregnancy more accurately than a over the counter pregnancy test.

I agree with JessiCat. If you don't feel like spending the money on a pregnancy test then you can even go to a clinic and get one for free. But be sure to know that if you are pregnant there will be MUCH bigger expenses than a pregnancy test on the way :-), so try to prepare for that.

It doesn't sound like you're doing too much in the way of actually trying to get pregnant so don't be too bummed out if you're not. Even a woman without PCOS only has 12 opportunities a year to get pregnant. Those of us with PCOS (sometimes) have WAY less (wihout intervention) so it's very easy for us to "miss" our opportunities. If you decide you want to get hardcore about trying then seek out some help so the doctor can help you figure out how to determine actual ovulation dates because having sex everynight actually reduces the mobility and strength of your mate's sperm (therefor reducing your chances each consecutive night). Oh yeah, I forgot to say the main thing. Even those of us with PCOS typically ovulate 14 days prior to your next period so I would say you should wait at least 14 days (from the date you think you had the sex that would have got your pregnant) to take a test. That should be pretty accurate.

Hey! I have been trying to get pregnant as well and my doctor told me not to have sex everyday because that lowers the sperm count, and since the sperm stays alive in your body for a couple days every other days was advised to me. Now, if your like me that will suck lol but if it works it works. As to the hpt I have found that the cheaper ones like walmart or cvs brands work better for me, but cheaper yes, cheap no. I would advice waiting a week anyways and then testing. Good luck and I hope everything goes great!

another problem with pcos a number of the symptoms feel like early pregnancy symptoms. i went thru a few years of testing nearly every cycle cus i felt pregnant.

My suggestion is to go to the dr or local clinic and get a free or low cost blood pregnancy test done. It might be your hopes getting up so high that your thinking that your prego. Having intercourse every night isn't a very good idea because your man's sperm won't function properly (if he don't have slow sperm by nature). Good luck with your road on TTC.
