I've mentioned before that I've started going to a Naturopathic Doctor to help with the PCOS (among other things) but now I'm starting to wonder if I've made the right decision. My main issue with the PCOS is a lack of ovulation, which is also the main reason (as far as we know right now) that I'm having such a hard time getting pregnant. At my appt. with the ND yesterday, I was asking her about maybe adding in Don Quai or Evening Primrose with the Vitex to help things along. She told me we needed to get the PCOS under control before we could focus on TTC. Considering all my lab work came back normal or inconclusive, isn't treating the ovulation issue essentially killing two birds with one stone? I'd be getting a regular period and thus increasing my chances of getting pregnant, right? Not to mention the ND is all too eager to add vitamins and supplements without checking into things. IE: I tell her I've been feeling utterly exhausted since I ovulated and without hesitation she tells me she wants to add more B12 to what I'm already taking without thinking about other possibilities. My mom suggested my iron might be low because when I told her what I was feeling, she said it was very similar to how she was feeling and that's what her doctor found out after doing blood work. I'm all for the natural treatments, but I'm wondering if I should just stop seeing the ND and stick with my usual GP while just sticking with a few of the supplements, like the Vitex and Vit. D and Folic Acid? I'm so confused right now!
