Thoracoscopic renal denervation

Does anyone know how successful this procedure is for testing pain? Mine is becoming unbearable again. I can't seem to find any public information. Also I know it was an experimental prceedure. I'm not sure if that is still the case.

I had the nerve cut to my left kidney when I had my cysts unroofed. I was pain free on my left side for about 11 months but then it was business as usual after that. Apparently the nerve grows back. I was told the operation is only a one time last resort thing but I was going to go talk to the urologist who did the surgery to see if he thinks otherwise.

I had what you describe done. Mine grew back even quicker. Also, all of my nerve couldn't be cut because of its proximity to the blood supply.

From what I understand about the thoracoscopic procedure, they remove a segment so that it can't grow back.

Larry you might look into the clinical trials. Rochester is doing a trial to cut nerves to kidneys and a young girl I met with PKD had great success with this. It's on the trials page for PKD.
