Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Support Group
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
Interesting that you're allowed to ride a horse!
I was told waaaay back that horseback riding, motorcycle riding and tackle football were not the greatest ideas for PKD patients!
Maybe I missed out on a good activity!
Peace and Blessings!

Glad to hear about your good news with regard to kidney function. It's good that you can enjoy horse riding. I find that anything in the least bit jolting (even wearing shoes with non-cushioned soles) causes me days of pain. I hope you can continue to have fun with your horse, and many other activities. I'm enjoying the sunshine hear in the UK - got to make some vitamin D!
