Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
My PTH intact has increased from 400 to 600 in past 10 days. My doc is giving me medicine for reducing the same. After taking medicine for 10 days PTH value has actually gone up. Doc is suggesting to increase the medicine to everyday instead of alternate day.
