Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.

I won't be around much anymore because Jim had an aneurysm bust wide open in his belly tonight. I am just getting home from the hospital, he is in grave condition but hopeful. It is the size of a grapefruit and the doc's said that all went well because we got him to the hospital in time and he was correctly diagnosed in time. It is 4:55 in the morning, my son Jimmy has come home with me and will go back to the hospital with me tomorrow. It will be touch and go for a couple days, but hopefully after that he will be A , OK. I'am too tired t obe tping, so I guess you all know that I cant be here for a while. Under good circumstanes, he may be home in 9 day.

Norma, we will try to take up the slack. please wish Jim well for all of us and tell him he will be in our prayers.
for you, please try to be calm and get as much rest as you can. you have been through a lot too. this can be almost as difficult for the partner as for the patient.

OH my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!! Norma, praying for you all, so thankful that you got him to the hospital so quickly. WOW! Oh dear. Breathe deeply dear friend, you are wise and alert, you will do well with all of the information available, we have seen this in the past with Jim's other issues. But please, give yourself a time to worry, and let that be a half an hour at a certain time, but keep putting off the worry until that half hour. Blessings to you, prayers for you all!!!!

I'am just going to take a shower and go back to the hospital, my kids were with Jim all night long. He had to be put back onthe respirator as he couldn't breath ever since they took him off. The kids decided to let me sleep and they all stayed with him all night long I don't think that Jim's going to make it, I'am really scared. Hopefully this is a minor set back, as it's only been a little over 24 hrs. post op. I'am just scared to death for my poor sweet husband. I think that our life as we knew it, is over. Please add him to your list of prayers and I will try to keep you updated somehow.
