Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
I finally told that know it all doctor off. He of course said I was irrational and that he was trying to help. Right dude you get in my face and say no matter how hard I try to lose weight even if it is a small amount that its not good enough. He claims I NEVER lost any weight since I seen him. WRONG! I suppose the 50 pounds I lost was not even real, I'm having trouble now losing weight because I'm on dialysis, peritoneal dialysis. I'm not gaining a huge amount of weight I am losing it, it may not be a lot but most people on this gain tons of weight. Give me a break! Now he wants me to have gastric bypass surgery. I can take criticism fine, but to claim that no matter what I do isn't good enough as motivation then you need to look that word up in the dictionary. He got so frustrated he won' t talk to me about my weight anymore. Fine by me, he doesn't listen anyway. Does anybody else have this type of problem from doctors?
Can you get another doctor? Oh I hope so. I would love to hear you leave this guy behind. And when you get one, probably best not to say anything about this guy until you get settled with him, and get a relationship established. You need someone who cares and listens.

As you lose more weight, it gets harder to continue loosing it, and people sometimes reach a plateau in which they dont lose any additional weight for a while. But if you continue, you will lose weight.
Keep up the good work, and even if you dont lose any additional weight, make sure you dont gain any back, that on itself is a major accomplishment.
