Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
This is such a relief. Things are looking up for Jim. He should be proud to have you as a constant support system. We all have been praying and saying the rosary on behalf of Jim. You take good care of yourself. Glad he found a facility that can take care of his cancer. Thats all it matters. I look forward to hearing that he beat this. Please keep us posted this week.

Amen to second opinions! Boy, things are moving fast, I hope you can rest up before Jim's surgery but it doesn't sound as if it's going to be horrendous. Great great news and I've got my fingers crossed that your new doc gets the results he wants from the scan and biopsy.
