Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
Thanks so much for the reassuring words. If my husband hasn't shown kidney loss at 66 you said he might have PKD 2, does this mean if my kids have it they would get the same kind?
I'm not able to concentrate on anything. I feel like I will never be happy again! I'm trying so hard to remain calm.
This is making me so sick. I went through menopause two years ago and started spotting after all of this news. My stomach is a mess. I have an appointment Monday to see why this is happening. I'm hoping its stress!
