Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Support Group
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
Jim and I are off to Virginia where all our family is going to celebrate Thanksgiving. We haven't all been together in almost 8 years. The tears are already rolling down my face.
I can't tell you all what it's meant to me to have you all in my life, it's meant more than I could ever say. It's so important to have someone to be able to talk with and know that you won't be critized or made fun of. We are all not doctor's or nurses, just people stricken with PKD. Talking
and understanding is more important than anything.
