Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
So sorry to hear about all your problems. I haven’t checked in for a while so apologies for the delay in responding. How are things now? I hope the stones have passed or have been dealt with and that you’re feeling a bit better. The episodes of increased pain can be very difficult to manage, I know, but in the end we get through them with gritted teeth. I feel for you and just wanted to wish you well.
