Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Support Group
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
As for transplant, I know that you are not interested right now but I hope you will keep your mind open. I cna't remember but has your doctor talked to you about it or recommended one way or another? Is this your decision or one you came to with your doctor? IN any case, I know you can live happy and healthy no matter what your choice but I am on the pro-transplant wagon now that I am feeling so good again.
But back to the topic at hand...it has been a joy getting to know you and I look forward to a re-cap when you return!
Lots of love and joy to you.
glad you have opened your mind so much about PKD and remember, with all you have received from us, you give back as much.
Have a great time!
BTW, what's the name of the Italian restaurant?
As a New Yorker, I would love to know!!!
Have fun!
Peace and Blessings!
