Hi everyone, I missed talking to you all this past week, and have just finished reading all the discussions while I was gone. All really interesting to me. On a little lighter note, I have to tell you that we had the time of our lives in Virginia. I wore a gown, and Jim my husband wore a tux, we were decked out to the 9's. LOL Haven't done that in quite a lot of years! won't tell you just how many, but a lot. We also drank too much wine, had too much exotic food, and danced way too much, I felt it the next day. It was an event that I won't soon forget and I'am so glad that we went. It was my daughter's 10th anniversary of owning her own business. She has her doctorate in nursing and opened her own healthcare agency after many years in nursing. She was a success, a huge success and we are so proud of her. Anyway, all that said and done, I'am not feeling very well right now, as you can imagine, but I have no regrets!! Last night, we stopped at a hotel on the way home and I was up all night with horrid muscle spasms in my legs, feet, ankles, you name it, I had it. Spent most of my time in the bathroom with hot washclothes everywhere I could put them. So I'am paying the price, but still have no regrets. What a wonderful time we had and we were so proud..

I guess what I have to say after reading all the posts tonight, is live your life, do the best that you can do, don't worry unnecessarily. We have PKD, we have to live with it and do the best we can, nothing more. Don't let our chidren know how much we worry about them, we'll fill them with anxiety for the rest of their lives and they are only little for such a short time, let them be happy and enjoy their childhood. They are so precious and special, let them feel that. For the time being, let them be kids. Who knows whats coming around the corner for them and for all the other young people with PKD. Don't give up, hope is a 4 letter word filled with everyhing anyone could imagine. We're living in an unimaginable world of medicine and research now, miracle do happen!
