Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Support Group
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.
It could be a lot of things... but I would hate to say at this point. I do know that one of the things that I personally did for about 15 years before I went into kidney failure (I am now 65, 2 i/2 years after kidney failure) was to go on a vegan diet. Some of us on this forum have other opinions, but it sounds like you will need to do some study to figure out what is best for you. If you google "vegan weightlifting" you will find a lot of folks who have done that. You also could cut down on animal protein, perhaps use lighter meats...
And yes, it is also my understanding that weight lifting as well as heavy exercise... and also dehydration, can cause elevated creatinine.
Let us know how this goes, and what you find out.

you should get a copy of your labs every time you have them done.
the most important thing you can do is control your blood pressure, drink plenty of water, reduce sodium significantly in your diet, avoid aspirin and any meds in that class. Tylenol is safe for pain relief. it would be good to get protein from vegetable sources but meat does not need to be ruled out, the iron in meat will be good for your blood.
let us know what your labs say. look for any abnormalities which should be indicated by a H for high or L for low, sometimes a + or - would be used.
