Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a progressive, genetic disorder of the kidneys. It occurs in humans and other organisms. PKD is characterised by the presence of multiple cysts (polycystic) in both kidneys. The disease can also damage the liver, pancreas and rarely the heart and brain.

I pretty much slept through my 6 week recovery.
The doctor could not entirely cut the nerve bundle going into the kidney, something to do with the blood supply being in the way.
I have definitely improved. Not to the point I am off of my pain meds. I have cut back considerably and have a much better quality of life.

The dark cysts have blood in them. Many were infected.
I didn't know there was a sac around your kidney's...
