I guess no one is around, so I have to go now, I'll try and remember what you girls said to dowhen you are in pain, heat, I think, try and relax, drink lots of water, i have pain in my back now, I'am afriad that my kidneys are doing something. I'll keep you all posted when I can.

Norma...can you call your doctor? There should be somebody on call who can give advice. If the pain is bad I would suggest going to the ER. It could be "nothing" (muscle spasms for instance) or somthing significant. You can't help Jim until you help yourself!

If it is muscular, heat could help. but don't wait long, please. You are too important to all of us.

Oh dear Norma..... yes, what Alinds says..... it could be so many things, or it could be nothing. But you need to relieve your mind about it..... you need to take care of yourself. I am hoping that it is gas pains, which can really get bad, especially with the stress that you have been under.... How about gall bladder? Has that been an issue?

I'am ok this morning, but feel totally worn out. I had muscle spasms in the night, in my legs as well as my stomcah, something is amiss, probably my labs, but there's nothing I can do about it now. We have to leave tomorrow. I've been drinking orange juice in the morning and don't usually do that, but did it deliberaly for a added benefit. Some added benefit that was. My sister has muscle cramps bad and thinks that thats whats going to kill her in the end, but I doubt that is true. They hurt so bad and not much we can do about them, other than heat, stretching or whatever, nothing worked for me last night. When we get back, I'll go to the doc's and get some new labs done. thanks Lindsay and Heather.... love to you both, Norma...

Norma, you have been under terrible stress recently, and we all know what stress can do to your digestive system. it may be no more than severe indigestion that caused the pain.
as to leg cramps, electrolytes that are out of balance can cause them. let us know what your labs say.

hey, i have that alot and it feels the same. when myine hurt i take 1/2 capof lemo juice into a full 20 oz glass and sip on that adn it seems to help some. wish i could tell u more but that is all i do. and it seems to help but i usally ahve to take it more thin once. my neph told me to drink that when my side hurts and it helps. hope you get better.

Wow. I never knew about the lemon juice...BUT I used to drink fresh squeezed lemon every day...until I had my transplant! I just don't feel the deisre for it anymore. I wonder if my body was telling me what I needed? I never had muscle cramps...except when I was on vacation, which come to think of it, was when I WASN'T drinking lemon jiuce!

I start my day with a cup of green tea with lemon juice in it. This alkalizes your system, which is very good for many reasons. I know that it seems as if lemon would cause more acid, but it is just the opposite. But you don't want to take the lemon with meals, as you need the acid in your stomach to digest your food. Take it at least an hour before or after a meal.

For some reason, I never drink orange juice, or any fruit juice for that matter. I really don't know why, but I have a feeling that it would cause me to have intestinal pains.

Keep us up on all of these things dear Norma..... praying for you all.

I have experienced pain there. It could be your gull bladder, it could also be shingles (shingles doesn't always have a break out), it could also be pain radiating from your kidneys. Regardless, of what it is, I hope you will see a Doctor soon and get some relief.
Meanwhile, this weekend, God, we pray for our friend and sister, Norma that she will feel your peace and comfort as she faces this most difficult weekend trusting you and knowing your plan is perfect.
