Ive been diagnosed with early pneumonia both lungs.
I read that its good to sleep on your side with the unaffected lung facing up. It opens it up to providing more air freely for the body.
I dont have an unaffected lung. Unfortunately when I sleep on a side I hack and cough and have trouble breathing.
When Im on my back I sleep much better. Hours between cough fits. BUT I read that sleeping on your back doesnt promote the mucus getting out and can trap more bacteria in.
Im more comfy on my back but if Im cultivating a bad environment I dont want to do that either.
anyone ever had pneumonia that can shed light on best sleep positions?
I don’t know if you still check this. But I have it on both lungs too and totally understand your problem. Did you even get an answer or a solution?
