Hi I know this is months old but I know how you feel, I had plastic surgery for a broken nose that turned in to a life ruining event. I was assaulted coming out of a party in downtown LA which resulted in my nose getting broken. I had surgery at UCLA because I could not breath out of one side. The surgery resulted in a small septal perforation (a hold in the cartilage wall that divides the two nostrils) that caused a whistling when I would breath. I was given no real fallow up care from UCLA after my surgery. The Fellow that I did the fallowup was texting on her phone and not listening or even bother to look inside my nose when I told her about the whistling. I discovered I had a hole about a year later so I had another surgery at UCLA to fix the hole. I don't know what happened but the doctor told me he tore my mucosa and that surgery ended up making the hole much bigger. Which brings me to Dr. Jason Hamilton. I found Dr. Hamilton at the recommendation of a Doctor on the East coast (that I found out later had never even meet Dr. Hamilton) that I wanted to do the surgery but he did not take my insurance. Hamilton sliced my forehead open 5 inches behind the hairline and drilled into my sinuses to feed some sort of scope into my sinus cavity, to procure cartilage. He cut out my entire nasal structure (healthy cartilage of my dorsum, septum and nasal tip) and left my nose a mushy flappy mess. My nose is now shorter from the profile, wider from the front view, I can't breathe at all and my bridge has collapsed. Hamilton trimmed my columella and anterior nasal spine. Because there is much less cartilage and bone in my nose there is no support for my upper lip and it has sunken in where the columella meets the upper lip resulting in trouble talking. One eyebrow is lower than the other, the skin on my forehead is loose. The site around the scar is balding and the top of my head is completely numb. Dr. Hamilton develop this procedure himself since I had this procedure six people have contacted me that hes done this to, all with similar results. But the tail doesn’t end there, I had another surgery to try to fix what Hamilton had done and the two doctors that did the surgery opened up my nose started cutting out my original tissue and filed my nasal bone down. They put in something called irradiated cartilage which is cartilage that has been harvested from a cadaver irradiated to sterilize it and then is used in rhinoplasty. There have been very few studies done with irradiated cartilage and the ones that have been done do not fall under scientific guidelines. The irradiated cartilage they put in my nose quickly dissolved and my nose is much worse, to the point I don’t even leave my apartment. I was 35 and looking to get married and have a family when I had surgery with Hamilton. I haven’t been on a date since 2015 and I honestly don’t think I even remember how to do sex(If I remember correctly I think there’s nudity involved?) ?

Anyone who reads this that is considering cosmetic surgery should really take a long look in the mirror. Most doctors who do cosmetic surgeries I considered to be at least borderline sociopath and do not care if the surgery is it success or failure, other than getting sued or a bad review. Suing doctors at least in California is almost impossible. You probably won’t win, to find a lawyer to take your case quid pro quo you need a Doctor who is willing to testify on your behalf that what the doctor you’re suing did to you is beyond the standard of care. Or if you don’t have a Doctor who will testify it’ll cost you $40,000 and you probably won’t win. The nose is and extremely difficult thing to do surgery on and the technology just isn’t there, I believe cosmetic surgery should be illegal. The surgeons that do this have no morals, I mean think about it, the first rule of being a doctor is to do no harm and cosmetic surgery is inherently doing harm. If you’re reading this and you’re still hell-bent on having cosmetic surgery, do yourself a favor before you go under the knife. Go down to your local courthouse and look up the doctors name and practice in the lawsuit database before the surgery. That’ll give you a good indication of what kind of person you’re dealing with.

Your story is so much like mine that it’s uncanny. I’m a female version. I would love to talk with you to share details, and possibly make a new friend. I don’t think anybody can quite understand as somebody who has been, or is, in these shoes.
