I had Orthotics made for my shoes and it has helped me a lot- so far!

Michele,

This is such a painful chronic problem. I had plantar fascitis several yrs ago in my right foot and now it's back in my left foot. I did get rid of it before with exercises and the nite brace thingie. I also bought good shoes but none of that is working so far.

I'm glad you found some relief. I hope the orthotics are still working for you. Do you mind me asking if you have a high arch?

I have found that having a pair of shoes/orthotics for inside wear and outside wear seems to help so far - but yesterday it felt as though my right heel was literally shattered. So I'm going to get an x-ray to confirm if anything has happened to the bone itself. I've been wearing orthotics for the past 20 years since I was a teenager due to flat feet. It is a miserable condition.

Orthotics have helped me and their is no pain when I wear them but there is also no improvement

weight gain is definitely a factor...i picked up some weight and its been very temperamental...stretching out the plantar fascia helps, but you have to keep up the stretching, which i admit is tough to do. the achilles tendon tends to tighten for me quite a bit too, which is difficult to stretch. i've also swtiched to vibram like soles that definitely works out different parts of your legs you are not used to. weight loss though seems like the most biggest contributing factor...taking the stress off of the feet.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
