Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
To me you sound like you're really really on the right track and, though it's only been two weeks, you're a long way down the right road. I've seen people write things at that stage which are quite different from what you write and so I have lots of hope and courage from you which shows you really do want this to be over.
It sounds like you're hurting because in a way, he's kind of thrown bakc in your face the fact you wanted it to be over by calling your bluff and saying "OK then, it is!" Don't be upset by that if you can help it for two reasons - either he doesn't mean that and is waiting for the right time to come back and ring you or come into your head again, or, he does mean it and has been able to literally just walk away and block you out of his life. either way, it shows that he isn't a caring, kind, or nice person.
keep looking at your child and knowing why you can't go back and why it has to be it this time. You'll get there. keep talking.
I put my ex in jail to get rid of him
Think about this, what if he hit you in a rage moment, and you became disabled, do you want that! do you want to take that chance.
I ended up with a brain disorder, after being punched and hit so much over 16 years. If l could change that NOW
, l would have left the first time he hit me. but i stayed because he terrified me
Dont ever be involved with an abuser, what for??? come on give me one good reason , HE WONT CHANGE
That is the truth for all abusive relationships, Just get out, no matter what
I'm so glad you're thinking of your son first. Don't be like my Aunt who put up with every form of abuse for decades and still is to this day. The kids are messed up and hate both of them. She's old and sick and wishes she had left years ago.
It helps me to think of my husband as a bad drug that felt good at first and I will be craving for a long time.
Have you looked into Divorce Care? I don't think you have to be married to go. We had it at my old church, and it really helped people. They'd start out crying and after a couple weeks they were a lot better. Some of them even started attending church. Im going to sign up ahead of time in my new town and go no matter how bad I feel. God bless you and your family
