Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

good thing.
Getting into therapy
with the right counselor
is ESSENTIAL.
Let me ask you. . . . .
On those days that
were "OK," was there
a common thread
regarding what you
were thinking about
and/or what you were
doing?
Also. . . . on those days
that you were angry at
him. . . . same question.
I'm not advocating endless
anger towards abusers
but given the choice between
being angry at the abuser
and taking the blame for
his (or her) abuse. . . . .
I'd much rather go with
being angry with the
abuser because at
least that's an
APPROPRIATE
reaction. Being
endlessly angry
is not healthy.
But being angry
when someone
has abused us. . .
feeling anger about
what they did that
hurt us. . . . this is
a healthy response
and within a limited
timeframe, it can
provide us with the
energy needed to
move us further on
our journey away
from abuse.
After there's been
adequate processing,
the anger will fade
naturally.
Furthermore, all those
things that your abuser
said to you about yourself. . . .
they were all lies.
They were lies told
to you with the intent
and purpose of
DISABLING you.
This was an injury
perpetrated on you.
Now it's time to do
what it takes to
HEAL that injury.
Please look for a
qualified counselor
and do the work to
reclaim your life.
You deserve it
and are entitled
to it.
Sending you hugs
and wishes for
healing and
better days
ahead.
