Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Thank you for posting this it really helps to open my eyes even wider!!!
Most have also had various addictions and of course everyone but themselves is to blame for thier drinking/drug problems as well.
Now, I have learned to distance myself or at least try to, from people that cannot seem to control thier alcohol or other issues. I have, in my experience found that they will often have other addictions, gambling, speeding-roadrage, anger issues, sexual addictions, etc.
Just my experiences...I have not found one who has "changed" yet.
My ex would often do things to others that she would feel extremely angry if anyone did to her. I couln't believe that she did not make the connection.
Regarding drug problems - my ex would justify her usage as not being as bad as someone else's, so hers was okay and actually healthy.
You are excatly right - it all just an attittude of blaming anyone but themselves - never their fault.

Narcs are such fools :)
Thanks for posting.
i believe most narcs go back to their exes or try to anyway its easier to do that than start out with a new woman, they don't like to expend energy on other people.
If ever I raised any issues around his behaviour he would tell me I was over reacting, or worse, imagined it!
He always wanted me to 'look good' and if we were ever going anywhere he would always tell me, "Dress up nice, I know these people we are meeting tonight"
He has a therapy appt saturday and he is nice now so when we get there i won't open my mouth and tell the doctor the truth.
I said it, so it is true.
