Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Block it again. I hate to suggest this but printing out the raft of texts you have might be a good idea for future evidence if you need to get a restraining order if needed.
I am so sorry he is continuing to abuse you from afar. It is very hard to ignore it. You have done good to keep NC.
All of the texts just demonstrate what a sick puppy he truly is. Hopefully he will get help someday. Meanwhile keep yourself safe.
With that, please do what you can to not think about the "what ifs", you don't have control over that but do have control over what you think which will affect how you feel. Easier said than done, if anyone knows it, I do. Stay strong, keep busy, tell yourself "stop" when thoughts go that way. Keeping you in my prayers. take good care
Q4G, I have a TONS of documentation-just have always been afraid to use it for anything, quite honestly. I have been back and forth on an RO many times, don't have one. He's blocked again.
Newrose, I know you are right, all the whatifs do not benefit me, nor does thinking its unfair-it's not helpful thinking. It is part of what makes me mad sometimes through.
Here I am, doing nothing to him at all, just living my life, and I get called a cruel, cold hearted B, and a loser, and a joke of a human being, a bad mother-all the same crap different day, and even though I know none of it is true, just the fact that he thinks he has the right to talk to me that way, and that he won't stop, and that it scares me and just makes me feel like my peace is violated, and that I don't deserve it and it happens anyway-it just gets to me sometimes.
NC is best-he can just text to his heart's content-if I don't see it I'm better off for it. Soon I am moving across the country-in no small part to get as far away from him as possible. Then I'll feel like I have a little more safety!
You have a right to defend yourself against any form of abuse, and I strongly urge you to continue doing so. In my opinion you become an actual victim when you fail to defend yourself when you otherwise should.
