been through so
much pain.
First, good for you
for getting you and
your daughter away.
A couple things, now.
Either partner in a marriage
can initiate a divorce. If cost
is what's stopping you, look
for legal aid or a lawyer who'll
help you "pro bono." It helps
that you already got an order
of protection.
Finally, both you and your
daughter would benefit
from seeing a therapist.
Your local women's center
will be able to help you
both with finding legal
aid and also counseling.
There might even be
counselors at the
women's center.
You did the right thing
by getting out. Now
comes the work of
healing and recovery.
You can do it and
your daughter really
needs support to
move through her
life being functional
and feeling happy.
Time alone doesn't
heal. Time plus
other things can
deliver healing.
Sending you hugs
and wishes for a
year ahead that
holds healing
and happiness.

It has helped me and
many others.
