Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
in which you feel you are
walking on eggshells.
That feeling (walking on
eggshells), can be a
message from our psyche,
trying to tell us something.
I see that both in your profile
and in this thread, you talk
about working hard to stay
positive.
Being positive can be a
good thing.
Sometimes, when our
intent to stay positive
in the face of the
undeniably negative
(such as an intimate
partner who brings
mostly negative to
our day-to-day life),
working to stay
positive may not
be serving us as
much as we'd
like to think.
In another thread,
you wrote:
He treats me like I'm the bad guy. . . . . . Not sure how much more I can take. He is very irresponsible. He blames it on memory problems due to a head injury.
From what you've described,
your boyfriend has a whole
list of issues, none of which
you're responsible for.
By the way, it might not
be effective going forward,
to ask him for, or depend
on him for anything.
And I have a hunch
that talking to him
and telling him your
side of what's going
on, probably isn't ever
going to actually
"reach" him.
Please make sure
you take very good
care of yourself
(and your son).
Sending you hugs
and wishes for
good health
and well-being.
I'm sorry but I have to agree with Ilene on this one.
