Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
That's one of my videos.
That one and others
can be found on both
the Healing Emotionally
Abused Lives website
(emotionalheal.org)
and also on
Youtube.
I'm not a natural "presenter"
but I do the best I can, and
have gotten a little smoother
as time has gone on. I remind
myself that the message is all
that's important. And that's why
I've spent some time in front
of the camera.
I know you know. So if you have a book on healing, let me know! I will buy it! Thanks and yep I found you out! Suprised me!! lol
I'm so glad I could help
in any way.
I began life as a writer
and have been professionally
published throughout my adult
life. Most of my writing on topics
of healing and recovery is done
here on DS and also on the HEAL
website.
I am working on larger pieces,
but they're not done yet.
When they are, I wouldn't
promote them here, as
D.S. is non-profit (except
for the ads they actually
sell, along the sides
of the screen).
I come by my knowledge
both personally, as a
survivor, and clinically, as
a credentialed professional.
I'll check with my webmaster
about the formatting. But
maybe you can get to a
library with internet.
Finally, healing from profound
emotional injury requires
a number of things. One
is someone with experience
to help bring you tools, techniques
and strategies. Another is absolute
dedication to "doing the work" of recovery.
Last of all, recovery takes time.
SELF-CARE is the absolute
bottom line.
Included under the heading
of self-care, is
APPROPRIATE BOUNDARIES.
If you begin with self-care,
you can't go wrong. Then,
keeping toxic people out
of your inner circle, is
another really good move.
Sending you hugs
and healing prayers.
