Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Today's "Wolf's Daily Howl"
My thoughts, on this Veteran's Day, are with the men and women who've served in the military of the United States of America, over recent years as well as long past decades.
My father, gone but in my heart always, was a veteran of WWII. He was in his thirties. He served in that war, with his four brothers. All came home, but one was never the same. My father, past the age of being combat ready, was stationed at a fort in Virginia Beach with a unit that patrolled the coastline. It wasn't until recently, that I came to understand, that there were German U-boats very close to US shores and that my father's contribution to the war was an important one. Towards the end of the war, he returned "home," sort of. His home was in New York state, and upon his return north, he was sent by the army, to Bridgeport, Connecticut, to work making aircraft at the Sikorsky helicoptor factory. It was while they were living in Bridgeport, that my sibling was conceived. With the war ending, they moved back to New York state, where Mother gave birth. That sibling served in the army during the Viet Nam era.
I'm a pacifist, with a strong distaste for armed conflict. Having said that, I acknowledge there are times when only armed conflict will end hostilities. If the US had entered WWII sooner, it's possible less souls would have perished in concentration camps.
For all who are gone from us, whether having passed in peace or having made the ultimate sacrifice, for all whose live have been irreparably altered due to their service in the miliatry, to all who've returned home with reasonable health still intact and for all those who are currently serving anywhere in the world, be it here on our shores, at bases in non-combat areas and those in harm's way ------ our hearts, prayers and all things good, are with you ---- on this Veteran's Day and always.

God Bless all of our military men, women, their families, and THANK YOU for your service!
I also want to recognize the untold painful & life altering sacrifices the families of our military make day in and day out, even after active duty service has ended. Only those who have been thru it know how deeply their lives are & continue to be affected.
My deepest gratitude, thoughts and prayers go out to all associated with the military.
