Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Okay, so I talked to his mom last night. I talk to her regularly, not about him but just in general because I honestly like his mother:-) She mentioned that he had stopped by on Saturday angry and ranting because his "new toy" (the newest car he bought) had been at the mechanic's getting a new motor and transmission. The guy who was working on it told him he could pick it up on Saturday, but then would not answer his phone and did not show up at the shop. So......basically he was ticked off at this guy and she got to hear it for an hour while he screamed and ranted.
Sure enough, he got home about 10:30 last night with the trailer and his car on the back. Suddenly he was making snide little remarks about me (this is his intimacy, he makes derogatory comments about me doing my job and on and on, that he makes out to be joking and closeness although they are hurtful). But basically, he was back to his old self.
So, sigh....he wasn't moving on. But on a positive note, he was also not tuned into my plans and the anger I was sensing was not really aimed at me or the children--but at some mechanic that didn't do what he was supposed to. I'm not sure whether to be relieved or even more pissed off about that fact--that we bear the brunt of the rage he feels toward other people?!?!
Anyway, just wanted to update everybody that things are pretty much status quo here.

I would try to comfort him, and listen, but he would barely heed my presence! He would snap decide to change previously made plans so that instead of carrying on and having a nice weekend together, we both apparently had to stew in the chaos my FIL had created. He punished me for what his dad inflicted on him, saying he didn't want me to go out at all because HE didn't want to.
Not nice :( I'm sorry you are dealing with such frustrating things. Hugs xxx
