Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Hi Everyone. It has been a long time since I have been on here.
I completed my degree in Jan and started a new job and he could not handle my new found independence and moved out. The kids now see him of the abusive creep that he is and do not want to have anything to do with him. I filled for divorce and I moving on. My own son wrote him an email calling him a phony christain and that he observed him do abusive things to me and that he did not want to have a relationship with him. He has played games and had fits but says that I have been the one playing games. He will say or do anything to avoid dealing with himself. A church gave him a place to live and helps him but not us. He is such a liar and I pray that they see him of what he is but he is not my problem any more. Please pray for my kids to be strong and to keep a healthy distance from him as he has abused them too. He manipulates them. Ignores their needs, puts them in the middle and then says that I am doing it. Punishes me if they don't want to see him. They are 19, 18 and 15. do you really make them do something they don't want to do with out an act of congress?

Your kids are old enough to make their own choices if they want anything to do with their dad. I wouldn't make them do anything they don't want to do. Kids see so much more than we sometimes realize and I am glad that they have realized the truth! It sounds like you did an awesome job with them.
my thoughts and prayers are with not only your children but also you this is a great step forward, I hope you get the peace you deserve!

the pattern continues and it is sad. At least I am glad that my kids will know that they do not have to stay with someone who mistreats them. As a christian wife it is a very conflicting place to be. One tells you to stay and submit and trust God and another tells you as a child of god you should not be treated that way. He states he is a christain but has no problem abusing me and lying and that is not how a christain behaves so no thanks Im done.
