Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I am so very happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))
Yes, yes, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good for you.
Self-care HEALS.
I understand what
you're saying about
the sociocultural aspect
of how we feel about
being single or coupled.
I totally agree that
many of us (most
of us?), were
enculturated to
believe that being
coupled is a requirement.
(There may also be an
evolutionary component
to this, as well.)
Being single
CAN be just
fine. In fact,
it can be
BETTER
than just fine.
Relationship can
be fine, also. . . . .
it's just a bunch
more complicated.
One of the most
essential factors
here is that BOTH
parties be highly
functional and
also enjoy a
high degree of
emotional awareness.
And ---- good luck
with that. Can it
happen? Yes.
Of course. It's
just exponentially
less likely than
one person being
functional and
emotionally aware.
I LOVE the
"Moving On Party"
theme.
Awhile back, I
threw an
"All Crone Up"
party. It was
GREAT.
Go on practicing
SELF-CARE.
It's NOT about being
selfish. It's about
being HEALTHY.
Much love.
Take good care!
That is FANTASTIC! Here's to you doing what makes you happy, when you want, including wearing your favorite mangy flannel jammies while eating ice cream in bed and watching horrid reality TV!!
YAY!!!!!
((((HUGS))))
Ehope
I want an invite to the partee!
And yes, you have a terrific attitude at your realization that being with no one is better than being with someone who abuses you!!! You are so right! Just wish I didn't have to be this age before i got that...
Congratulations, you are amazing!!
I have to admit my heart still does a little pitter-patter when I see couples in the grocery store or even just going for a walk. Then I remember that not everything is what it seems... We seemed great too, from the outside looking in!
Once, when I was a little girl, I decided I wanted to marry myself.... I think I may have been onto something there!
Cheers!

It's taken me a long time and lots of therapy, but I am happy being single. I am free to make my own decisions and I am totally responsible to ME! I don't have to worry about what time I go to bed or wake up. I have swept all the egg shells away and I love living in peace. I love my new life.
I am learning to love myself, practice self-care, and put myself first.
I admit that every once in a while I wish there was a man around - especially when a bug shows up. :p) It was Delta Burke in Designing Women who said, "I don't care what anybody says, I think the man should have to kill the bug!" I totally agree, LOL.
Every once in a while I will peek at the free dating sites and shudder when I read "I want a good woman to complete me." No thank you, BTDT and didn't even get a t-shirt. :p)
Big hugs to you...
Reading this, I feel a huge wave of I-can't-wait-to-be-there-too. Thank you for sharing this, and I'm so happy for you! YAYYY :D
