When Dr. Phil first came on TV, he said quite a few times "feelings don't lie." so instead of the way I tip toed around my hubby, I told him how something (can't remember what. That was a very long time ago.) hurt my feelings guess what he said-----"your lying"
I didn't bother with that one again. LOL, LOL

Mine always told me my feelings were wrong - my thinking is wrong- in other words I was always the one who was wrong. Blah!

My feelings (according to stbx) were somehow always in my big TOE. I now know he just didn't have any idea exactly what the hell feelings were!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched the first part last night. That woman is so traumatized, I had a hard time watching it. I can relate to always saying "I'm sorry" I never realized how much I said that in my marriage, until I left. I am looking forward to tonight's episode. I am anxious to hear what she has to say. She didn't say more than ten words through that entire episode. I hope she can tell her boyfriend what she truly thinks of him. I'm curious to see how Dr. Phil handles it too. He usually wants the couple to try to stay together, but I hope he can get her in the witness protection program.

I watched the last half hour of the program. I find too that I cannot always agree with Dr. Phil but in this case I did agree with him.

That Danny is a smug bastard! He is the classic abuser. The old, I did everything for her and she is a lying whore. Yeah whatever Danny!

But the thing that stood out for me was Julie saying it's over. SHE said that not him. Of course he agreed to it and claimed he is glad she is gone. But it's Julie that wins here. She asked Dr Phil if she can go NOW!!!! Good for her.

I hope Dr Phil really helps other women and or men on his show as much as he does with Julie. That would be great instead of trying to keep abused women and men in relationships. He needs to learn more about No Contact!

what Dr. Phil says, in this case
I think that his handling of this
survivor's problem may contribute
to her staying alive, in her journey
of escape from this abuser.

She may not have said much
in the first of the two episodes,
but when she spoke in the second,
she was eloquent and she was
clearly on the path to reclaiming
her freedom and her life.
