Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Lots of love to you Ilene! So thankful your a part of this board :)
But I'm also seeing a difference in myself. I'm a little bit stronger than I was when I first came here. I'm working on my boundaries. And I'm working on loving myself. And finding some true peace and happiness within.
Thank you for having such a huge positive impact :)
xo
for better or worse.
Wherever in the world
you're reading this, first
I'd like you to know that
whether someone else
sends you flowers or not,
you ARE a flower.
You are a
celestial MIRACLE.
You are a perfect
expression of the
divine.
You are evidence
that the life force
is among the
most powerful
mechanisms
created or evolved.
You are
perfectly imperfect.
You are
exactly
as you're
meant to be.
If you don't see that
at first glance,
know that it's all
. . . . and I mean
ALL . . . . . . .
there inside you.
Much love to all
who read this.
You're. . . . every
one of you. . . .
you're my
inspiration.
Please,
please,
PPPLLLLEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEE
LOVE YOURSELF..
...It's all inside of us, we just have to turn inward and find it :)
Happy V day to you!
Yes.
I married someone I've known
for over forty years. We did the
deed on November 3, last year.
Some days, I want to tell him
to please. . . . . just GROW UP!!!!
Other days, I want to tell him
to please. . . . . NEVER GROW UP!!!!!
What I can say about this
part of my life is that I know
him about as well as anyone
can know anyone else. I love
him for the great things about
him and I try to manage living
with the quirks, weaknesses
and irritations.
I have loved him for a
very long time and
while some days
I'd like to. . . . well. . . .
maybe live in different
residences. . . . . . the
rest of the time, I wonder
how I got so lucky. Tonight
we've got reservations at a
lovely restaurant for a
special, celebratory dinner.
When we finish dinner,
we'll come home, watch
the Olympics, cuddle with
our two kitties, Annie and
Emma, and maybe even
the two of us.
Some days are better
than others. Every day
I am sssooooooo glad
that I [1] didn't kill myself
when I felt suicidal and
[2] divorced the one I'd
married on Valentine's
Day, 26 years ago. He
remarried barely more
than a couple minutes
after our divorce. I hope
they're living happily
together because I
sure am thrilled that
he's NOT married
to ME!!!!!
Yes. I'm a very mature
newly-wed. I struggle
with the same s__t as
pretty much everybody
else. And I'm really
happy that I made it
through the storm.
Every day, I start by
loving myself, and
then I can spread
that good stuff
all around.
Self care is something that I hv put on the back burner, mb bcz of having children or volunteering and then mental health issues, but I am beginning to see the importance.
Simple things like treating oneself to a cup of coffee or for me, to read novels again. Thank u for posting this and sharing ur newlywed experiences, lol.
and thanks for all
the good wishes.
