Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I've been out of his house for almost 3 weeks now and still trying to get mine and my kids belongings...well this is going to get ugly soon!!
He has refused to even allow me in the house!! I have been back once and ended up calling the police and he was even an ass to the officer!! In order to compromise the officer wouldn't allow me to go in the house either, only giving my ex more control and power, as now its "bitch you can't even come in my house...the officer wouldn't even let you in...blah blah blah".
Anyway...he will only 'allow' a moving company to get my things. He claims some things are packed but they (being the movers) will have to pack the rest. I've asked if I could pack, but f course the answer was no followed by numerous other names and nonsense. So I've sent movers over to give me a price to get this done for me...WHOA... more than I expected.
But... this is where it will get ugly! He is only doing this because he knows I have the money stashed and wants me to have to use it. Well I'm gonna pay the movers and we are headed to small claims court! I had plenty of people to help me get my things packed and outta there but he insist on movers, he can pay the price. I have all the text messages with him saying I'm not coming in for this or that, he won't allow this or that, just spend the money and he doesn't care about the cost to me...etc! I will have these printed and ready to sue for the bill since I am within my 30 days and could get my things!!!

When I moved out of the "marital house" I went with a neutral 3rd party to help me pack and then had a mover move the boxes.
But you get to do it your way. Suing him it small claims court keeps the conflict churning which, I have found, is what narcissistic abusers love. They get to feel all self righteous and victimized.
I am so sorry he is being such as ASS. Please be careful. Carry pepper spray and your cell phone at all times. And let us know how it goes. Hugs to you for better days ahead.
He does not even know I have been speaking to my attorney; therefore, he doesn't have an attorney himself.
wvartgirl - The one time I did show up to get things it was horrible! He made such a scene that all of the neighbors were sitting outside to catch any action that may have happened! I even had an officer present.
