Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
In my personal and professional
opinion, when a narcissist
appears to be attached to another
person, be that a child of her/his
or an intimate partner, (or any
other relationship), that attachment
has more to do with the need to have
a "supply" than what most people
would understand as love.
Also, in my personal and professional
opinion, not only is it unlikely that a
narcissist will change or grow
without seeking therapy,
it's also (my opinion) that
it's just as unlikely that they'll
change or grow WITH therapy,
even if they somehow get find
themselves involved in therapy.
The narcissist can only love themselves....I've known none that have changed and no -- they likely won't ever seek therapy.
