Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Not feeling that great after moving my stuff out. Saw the mutual friend who tried so hard to mediate our relationship for the past few months...didn't speak...had to go NC on her last week. Infuriating...she is there overseeing the farm while he traipses off on holiday with the new girl. According to this mutual friend, my ex and I weren't compatible and couldn't communicate. Despite what I have told her...she is like an ostrich with her head in the sand. She needs to believe in the ex in order to continue to have a farm for her and her family to visit daily.
So frustrating not to be validated by friends. Something else I am working on.
Anyway, I am officially declaring tomorrow 9/21/13 the First Day of the Res of MY Life.

Don't worry about the people who bury their head in the sand. You can do without them nicely.

That sucks about your friend :( Just so you know you're not alone, something not too dissimilar happened to me. A friend who I confided my troubles to ended up making matters worse by making out that I was contributing to my husband's financial stress by not working! Little did she know, he was doing his best to keep me out of any job... in many cases, abusers DO fool friends, unfortunately. It is part of their MO to hang onto a victim.
The thing I am shocked at in your case is that your friend actually has it in front of her face that he has taken off with some other woman, and she does not appear to be supporting you through that at all! If a guy did that to any friend of mine, I would be there for her no matter what state I thought their marriage was in.
So sorry you are being denied this moral support again :( But you have us, and your strong self. Celebrate, and take care xx
