Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

I am just so happy to see you posting again. I miss hearing from you when you are gone and I worry about you. I am just hoping one of these days you will see that there truly is a light at the end of the tunnel and work toward it. It takes time and hard work but you will get there.
Take care of yourself and stay strong. You are stronger than you think.
I'm assuming that is your picture and you are a beautiful girl. Thanks for sharing that also.

I'm newer to the board, Joanie, but I want to echo Tigertales' and Gem's sentiments. Signs of progress make such a difference to ALL of us! One person's strength helps other people find or regain their strength. :-)

I feel the same way. I truly would not have had the strength to leave if it weren't for those who scraped me off the floor.

I feel like we have a safe place to land when nothing else is.
