Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

All I can say, is there is so much more out there, and you can make a better life for yourself.
There will be struggles, there will be guilt, it will be hard but it will be worth it.
Topazmoon! what are you doing with my ex husband???!!!
You don't need to give him back, though....
I did my time!
((((hugs))))))
vent any time, and if one day you do decide that it's time for a better life, we're all here...
Wishing you all the best, and I'm sorry for your pain. But also - never, ever doubt your strength. There is not a woman or man on this board who is not strong. It takes a great deal to face the reality of the life you are living, it takes strength just to survive abuse, let alone to admit it to yourself and then reach out and admit it to others. And to be dealing with your son and other issues on top of that - do NOT ever doubt your courage or your strength.
Thanks again
the questions is WHAT are you going to do about it?
sounds like you are about at the end of your rope w/ him.
I used to hear the weight complaints too, all the while he was heavier and in worse shape. they project their self hate on us.
I feel for you. There is a solution: leave! It takes some hard baby steps to get started then a lot of prayers and guts but then it's really a relief. I'm serious. It's palpable relief.
I hope you will continue to learn more about abuse and will gain the strength and clarity you need to actually leave.
There are two books that will help you, why Does He Do That by Lundy bancroft and The Verbally Abusive Relationship by Patricia Evans.
Life is so much better without abuse.
