Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I also listened to So What by Pink all the time. Even tho not al of the lyrics didn't fit, the choruses did. , even if not all the words fit. I especially like the last two choruses. The first one is so true...he was never ever there.
[Chorus]
You weren't there,
You never were,
You want it all,
But that's not fair,
I gave you life,
I gave my all,
You weren't there,
You let me fall.
[Chorus]
No, no, no, no
I don't want you tonight,
You weren't there,
I'm gonna show you tonight,
I'm alright,
I'm just fine,
And you're a tool,
So, so what,
I am a rock star,
I got my rock moves,
And I don't want you tonight!

"Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world."
I have not been on my own for 39 yrs except for a brief stay in a women's shelter with my young kids and subsequent apartment 33 years ago. Now I am a 59 yr old single grandparent of a 12.5 yr old granddaughter and 9 yr old grandson. So I feel sorry for myself sometimes....But, then I sing this song! If I hear this song and "Happy" at least once a day, I feel OK.
1, It is during the worse time of your life that you will get to see the true colors of the people who say they care for you.
2. Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy. If you aren't being treated with love and respect, check your price tag. Maybe you have marked yourself down. It's YOU who tells people what your worth is. Get off the clearance rack and get behind the glass where they keep the valuables. Author Unknown
