when your bk on your feet & now knowing what you do. you could opt to have woman shelter built for UK woman & put into place, assistance for men.( morjority of men do not report being abused ). the shelters could have everything that shelters in US/Hol-len ... offer.
Hang on. the road is bumppy/ruff but things do get better along the way. X's

I'm so sorry that you didn't find them helpful. funny, I thought that in the UK, they would be BETTER than here in Canada or the U.S...

while my stay in one wasn't perfect by any means, I was still really grateful that it was there, and I know where all of MY charity dollars will go (when I have some cash I'm willing to part with, that is!)....

I'm sorry that you are back with your ex. that has got to be hard!

Thank you for being here and your support......at the moment im so angry and annoyed that i dont even want to talk about it......what i will say is this.......refuges are MEANT to be a safe place to be , NOT to put drug users and alchoholics in that smash the place up and stea other peoples things and food.etc............xxx

hi newstart i am living in the uk, sounds really dodgey, all i can suggest after you have pondered on the experience is that perhaps it was that particular place that was bad. I know there will be other places in the town next to you perhaps you could get in contact with a womens centre further a field and ask questions regarding their facilities and who they have living there. Sounds like the place you went to was not the right place to me.

dont give up and keep fighting. Get on the phone and do some investigating before righting anything off as you never know what you might discover.

Ring other places and ask questions and explaine what your looking for!
