Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Tried to give hugs to everyone who was there for me when I was in a pretty dark place the other day. Though I realize I need to get some meds changed, get some therapy and do some work on myself to get better, I am feeling a bit stronger, IF I can stay NC with the ex abuser and keep my mind focused on other things besides him and my past.
I just wanted you all to know I appreciate you all and whoever I could give hugs to I did. If I didn't, I couldn't and I am giving you a great big HUG right now. All your words meant so much and when I am struggling I go back and read all the messages at night on my phone so that I realize I am not worthless. That someone out there cares.
Sometimes just knowing that makes a HUGE difference. Thank you DS members, you are truly LIFESAVERS.

You are an important member of this community... And you are important to me. I cannot tell you how many times your hugs, replies and just who you are (your empathy is incredible), has lifted me up out of a dark place and made me smile.
