Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
speak up and express
yourself, positive change
may take place.
If you keep it to yourself
and quit therapy, there's
no chance of positive
change with this scenario.
Also. . . . . the action of
speaking up for yourself
is an ESSENTIAL part of
practicing SELF-CARE.
One of the results of having
been abused is that we tend
to SILENCE ourself. During
abuse, this may be a survival
mechanism. When we're not
being abused, expressing
ourself is just being HEALTHY.
Please share your thoughts
with the therapist. If nothing
changes, you can take other
actions. But first,
please take this one.
