Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
ok, so I have been on here before and I did become much stronger for awhile. I was in the process of leaving my husband after an abusive situation occured. Well, so the story goes for those that dont follow through with the plans, I am still with my husband. But now the situation is even deeper, I am 13 weeks pregnant. I was not sure that I was able to get pregant as I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. But it did happen and I am not one to have an abortion or adoption as this is my child. I am just having another problem with my husband and want to know that I am not over reacting. We have been getting alone well and doing fine over the past yr. Ever since I am pregnant, he has been staying out at all hrs of the night drinking, going to bars, lying, and being irresponsible. When I try to talk to him about it he just says that he knows that he wont be able to do these things when the baby comes and he is scared and is doing these things now. To me I think that is just a big excuss. I mean, I dont mind that he is going out with friends every once in awhile, but going out to bars and things without his wife all the time scares me. I dont trust him. He does not wear wedding ring. If I am never around and he is with girls at bars then he can get away with anything and come home and act like nothing happened. He has been known to do this. He just blows me and our daughter out of the picture and will drop anything to hang out with frineds. I do not feel like a family at all! We hardly ever do anything together. He is always out alone. I feel like the old maid! I knew deep down it would be the same, but I just wasent ready to give up. Now I am regretting ever letting it come to this again! And to being another baby in this mess and I will feel even more depressed! Please help me, am I overreacting????

If you decide to get yourself out before you deliver
then
you will not be alone.
If you decide to stay with your abuser and bring
a baby into your home of abuse
you will not be alone.
You and your helpless, totally vulnerable
absolutely innocent baby
will be together
in a home of abuse.
Your abuser ---- if you're lucky -----
will be at some other woman's home.
If you're not lucky, he will be there with
you and you're baby.
I'm so very, very sorry for what you're
experiencing.
I hope you'll gather your strength and
your belongings
and
GET YOURSELF OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(And then, get a DIVORCE.)

And if he cares, he's fine with it.
Perhaps he even gets off on it.
[2] Someone can be that cruel
because he's an abuser and
abusers are cruel.
[3] The only way he will change
will be to get worse.
