Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I have posted on this discussion before about my partner who was been emotionally abusive before. I am six months pregnant and feel very vulnerable, I am scared for the future as he is the breadwinner and I have no job. When I met him I was beautiful independent and sexy.
We seemed to sort out previous problems,I had to be strong in telling him that him blaming me for past wrongs was abusive. He backed down and things improved by him becoming nurturing toward me and telling me over and over again that he loved me. Of late he has not been physically intimate with me, yet when I was doing laundry found a pair of his boxer shorts that had been used for self pleasuring. I have not brought this up with him but instead have been so upset to the point he asked me. He says he doesn't find pregnancy attractive, it has destroyed me to know this. I don't think I can stand the rejection from him,he tells me I'm overreacting and that I am this way due to hormones but I am so low to suicidal right now that I can't think straight.
