Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Yesterday, a child who participated in a political protest
in one of the mid-East countries, was taken into custody,
horribly tortured and then brutally murdered. Afterward
his family was intimidated into silence, getting on the
media and praising that country's administration.
As I write this, I'm watching a documentary about
the rigged "election" in Iran in 2009, after which the
people who rose up in protest, were murdered in the
streets and in government torture prisons. A young,
beautiful, creative, politically active, freedom loving
woman was murdered. The last moments of her life
were caught on cell phone video. (Her name is Neda).
The government did not allow her family to have an
authorized clergy to oversee her funeral and burial.
Afraid that her death was polarizing, first the
Iranian government said that she wasn't dead.
Then the Iranian state media began assigning
responsibility for her death to others, first to the
CIA, then various British representatives. Then
they made a documentary fictionalizing a story
about how she was killed. Her family was
forbidden to hold a traditional memorial
for her but tens of thousands of Iranians
gathered to remember and honor her.
These actions, mounted against vulnerable,
innocent people who protest government abuses,
are typical and representative of ALL abusers.
All abusers do the same things.
They grab power and control.
They isolate.
They torture.
They attempt to silence.
They distort.
They lie.
They revise facts.
They deny facts.
They're toxic.
They're dangerous.
They're cowardly.

Mans ability to inflict pain and suffering on his fellow human being. It is scary how many societies nurture this instead of nurturing love.
They are cowardly, they are ego driven, and they will live in a black hole of darkness for a long long time to come.
