Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
The part that got me on your post is your 15 yr old son. I worked a while back for a very wealthy man who lacked for nothing. He volunteered as a firefighter in his town. I asked him why he did that. He said...some people run away...and some people run to help. I run to help. Its who they are. Be proud...not hurt. Hes a good kid. We never know how we will handle a crisis until we are tested...lets pray we never know.
I pray for your town and hope its some jerky kid being an ass.
I am sending you tons of support and hugs along with hoping for peace, always.
I hope they catch them too, baby.
After the Sandy Hook shootings there were a number of threats made to schools in CT, a rash of school lockdowns, there were even threats made to a church who was holding a funeral. in fact, at one point they were asking all the residents of Newtown to stay home because of a threat.
It's a sad sick thing for children to have to deal with. Hope when you go back after the break, it calms down.
People need to look around and see what is happening in their homes and neighborhoods. Then it needs to be reported. Who knows what that boy could have done.
Babyrena - you have raised your son well. Be proud that he would risk his life to save others. And though it is unfortunate that kids these days have to think about these things - at least he has a plan.
I am so thankful prayers were answered in the protection of our children.
I am so sorry that it took this trajedy to show people how unsafe our kids are when we send them out into the big bad world.
I always tell my kids love each other, don't ever take each other for granted. Always cherish each other here in your home. This is the nicest most safe place on earth. We have to deal with bullies, druggies, alkies, and just plain ol mean people out there. Why should we be mean to each other here, take care of your family and love each other. Inside these walls we will treat each other with respect and treat each other how we want to be treated.
Its not all roses and tea at my house we still have our days, but when I see my son sharing his soda with his sister, or they just got done building a snow man together outside, it warms my heart. I have a pic on my wall of them sleep in the back of the car heads leaning on each other, peaceful and full of love, it makes my heart smile. I call my son baby huey, cuz he is a big ball of love, and my daughter we call her lil boss because she in her own way has leadership in her.
I have another lil one that spends a lot of time with her dad, we are not together anymore, too much drinking. But she is a ball of fire this one, she has endless energy. I am really candidly scared for her to become a teenager. Will I be able to keep up with her. haha.
I have a 19 yr old, a few years back, I though when she turned 18 she was going to ride off into the sunset and I would never see her again, there was so much anger and unforgiveness in her heart, and it seemed as though I wasn't getting through to her. But today, she is turning into a young lady venturing out on her own and becoming quite a strong woman. I believe one day when the time comes she will be a strong advocate for sexually abused children. She has a big heart for children and if she could she would adopt all the children in the world.
Here is a picture of our family in nutshell. I hope through my words you get a glimpse of hope and a brighter future. I hope that through this tragedy would come a peace that passes all understanding. That unity would be part of our goals as a nation.
It is going to be hard to forgive, but if we don't we are only going to hurt ourselves. We must strive for forgiveness.
Congratulations, baby. for creating these kids!!!!
Sending tons of support and hugs!!!!
I remember when my daughter was in school they had repeat bomb threats and immediately went into lock down or had the children go stand outside while the school was searched. I think it is traumatizing for our kids to have to go through the drills and procedure all while not knowing if it's real or not.
I just don't understand why the schools can't limit their entrances to one only with all others locked and that requires walking through a metal detector that when activated will send an alarm through the intercom system throughout the whole school. Not once have i ever heard that suggested.
I'm praying for peace for all school communities and I'm also praying for open minds and open discussions of many possible solutions.
But to have our children trying to protect themselves. It is so sad. And only being able to protect them so much is right. I am a single parent and since the shooting in conneticut, I have had 24 hour care for my children. I don't know if any one else is doing that, but just to make sure my children are safe and letting them know there is an adult around to give that security, makes me feel a whole lot better.
