Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
With all eyes focused on the last pro-football game of the year,
(and acknowledging that football isn't my sport), I wanted to
talk about one wonderful pro-athlete.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson stepped up in the
fight against bullying, and reached out to a teenager who'd been
attacked by a pack of indiividual cowards who apparently felt
collectively powerful enough to physically beat and attempt
to humiliate someone younger and physically smaller than
all of them.
Middle schooler Nadin Khoury was the brave one, coming forward
and appearing on The View to share his horrible experience, in
an effort to help prevent others from the same misery. Then the
pro-football player, Jackson, walked onto the set and took off his
jersey. He signed it and presented it to Nadin with the promise that
if the teen ever needed back-up, Jackson would be there with a couple
of linebackers.
Now ---- THATS a super-guy.

I am glad there is more awareness about bullying ~ very sorely needed.
DeSean Jackson is definitely a hero, and a good role model. It must have taken a lot of courage for Nadin to speak out against his abusers on national tv. Emotional and verbal abuse can be especially hurtful during the formative teen years. This story proves that good can prevail, and a person can grow stronger after abuse.
