I finally ended a year of hell only to end up in worse hell.. Ex BF has seen me out with the new guy I am dating. He started calling and emailing and I ignored all. Finally I picked up his call and told him to leave me ALONE. Now he's filed a restraining order against ME! The request is a big bunch of LIES, but he was awarded a temporary restraining order!

Yesterday I paid two thousand dollars to a top attorney to FIGHT THIS BASTARD! I know he will continue to LIE until he detroys me. I am a WRECK. Yesterday I saw him in MY neighborhood, which is gated! I called the police, who won't do ANYTHING. He is intentionally trying to run into me so he can have me arrested.

I am living in fear (alone) and scared. He will stop at nothing until he destroys me.

How can I hang in there??

Hi,
unfortunately he's doing all this to upset and distress you. It's very difficult to understand why he is doing this wheny you're in the middle of it, but it is all down to jealousy. You've not mentioned here why you split, but by the way he's reacting I get an idea of why it had been like.
The forunate thing in this is that he's making things worse for himself. By sending the emails and appearing in the neighbourhood he's building up evidence against himself. It'll be worth talking to the attorney about, but i would suggest keeping a log of these and not deleting the emails if you haven't already done so - so you have proof he's been harrassing you.
Does your gated community have it's own security? Can you get them to screen him out?

Temporary is just that, he has the burden of proof to get it passed. He has to prove everything on the order...Like Withor said keep all evidence you can against him..and tell the judge what you posted here..you can put an order against him. Let the judge know you are scared and feel you need protected, tell your atty this..

Not sure about there but here, you are allowed to take pictures of someone even without their expressed permission. when you seeh im in the area you are take his picture, record this, write down times, call the police tell them he is there and he is provoking a run in...they have to at the very least take areport all of which can be used later...as for the restraining order.really who cares u dont want to talk to him anyhow. You may ne able to ask that this be changed to a mutual restraining/peace bond. That way both parties must stay away from each other then he cant do what hes doing.

Do not fight the restraining order. Ask the judge for MUTUAL CRIMINALLY ENFORCABLE restraining orders. Judges WILL grant them. IN the meantime document document document.

It's temporary, when it's over, you can file one on him. All these calls and emailing could violate the restraining order. And he had to prove these lies to get you on another one. Don't let him control you, but don't fight him back. That'll put you in a bigger mess then you already are in. Talk to your lawyer about him stalking you.
