Hi,

Im very new here, the reason I joined was I am looking for some help or maybe some advice im not sure. 7 years ago I got into a relationship, the first 3 months were heavenly, but then things changed rapidly. First it started with rapid mood shifts, he could go from chalming and friendly to seething rage in 3 seconds, but only when it was directed at me. 

As time went on things got more sinister, he convinced me that my friends were talking about me behind my back, saying awful things, he would tell me this to ''help'' me but never tell me who gave him this information or what was being said, then he moved onto my immediate family. He would accuse me of having affairs, he would push/shove me and grab me shaking me, as I would sit there crying he would sit there watching me with a smile on his face.

He told me he had people out following me, reporting back to him on my every move, i became so scared i trusted no-one. We went to dinner once and he casually dropped into conversation that he had friends who could make me disappear in a heartbeat and no-one would ever know. He would steal my clothes so i couldnt leave his house, accused me of poisening his food, by the time he was done with me I was just a shell.

At its pinnicle he tried to convince me to kill myself.

eventually I found the courage to leave, but i was a mess. and worse, no-one would believe me, he was so charming, so friendly, so helpful, everyone loved him.

After i left he began stalking me online, i cancelled all my social media accounts, then the abusive voicemails arrived, ten minute, rambling abusive messages, eventually i had to get my number changed, when he realised he could no longer get to me, he harrassed my parents  by calling their landline and demanding i speak with him.

I was on the verge of taking it to the police when it all stopped. For a month i had people walk with me when ever i left the office in case he was hanging around outside. I was petrified.

After several years on a strong dose of antidepressants and anti anxiety medication and a nervous breakdown, I eventaully rebuilt my life.

Move forward seven years and im sat in my office prepping for a conference call when i hear a famliar voice behind me. Long story short my ex has now been employed to work in the same office as me, full time.

He knew where i was working, this is not a coincidence im sure of it. I have informed my manager and his management that i want him nowhere near me, I have been told if he steps one foot wrong I should tell them immediatly and he will be gone. Ive even had to arrange for a colleague to drive me home if he is finishing his shift at a similair time to mine, so he cant follow me home.

Im terrified. If he stays im subjected to his face and all those memories i thought i had buried, if he goes he will know straight away i had something to do with it, making me even more of a target.

Given the look he gave me as he walked past me the other day i think its fair to say that his intentions are less than friendly.

What do i do now?
